Who has the most followers on Twitter?

In February 2014, CNN reported Katy Perry became the most followed person on Twitter. After becoming the most followed person on Twitter, Perry tweeted about her milestone to her over 50 million followers. As of November 2014, Perry still continues to be the most followed person on Twitter.

The second most followed person on Twitter is Justin Bieber, with Barack Obama being the third. Perry surpassed Bieber’s followers in November 2013, after Bieber had previously surpassed Lady Gaga. Other top followed Twitter accounts include celebrities such as Taylor Swift and Britney Spears. Companies YouTube and Instagram are also included in the top ten most followed accounts.
