What is Microsoft CTF Loader?

Microsoft CTF Loader is a component of Microsoft Office that loads the Ctfmon service. Ctfmon allows alternate user input methods in Microsoft Office, such as voice and handwriting recognition. This program is an official Microsoft product and is safe to run.

Ctfmon is required for Microsoft Office to run correctly, and Microsoft does not recommend removing Ctfmon or CTF Loader. If it causes problems, it can be safely disabled while still allowing alternate text inputs in both Microsoft Office and Windows itself. However, this will prevent handwriting recognition, voice input, alternate keyboards and other input methods from working. It will also hinder assistive technology.
