What programs correct grammar and punctuation?

Programs such as Grammarly, Ginger Grammar Checker and the Hemingway Editor App all check writing for grammar and spelling issues, provide suggested corrections, and are free. Those using Microsoft Word also have the option of enabling the built-in spellcheck and grammar check functions.

While some of the programs, like Word's spellcheck and grammar check, only work on text that has been typed or copied and pasted into the program, Grammarly checks all writing that is done online as well, including emails and social media postings. The Hemingway App and Ginger also offer additional functionality like text to speech and readability scoring.
