Is telekinesis real?

As of 2014, there is no conclusive scientific evidence that supports the existence of telekinesis, defined as the ability to physically move or deform objects with the mind. It is also known as psychokinesis, from the Greek "psyche," meaning mind, and "kinesis," meaning motion.
Telekinesis has a long history of claims that have not stood up to the rigors of controlled and repeatable experiments. In one example, noted Israeli illusionist and self-promoted psychic Uri Geller claims to be able to bend spoons with the power of his mind. Many times, his demonstrations have been shown to be the result of sleight of hand rather than any provable paranormal powers.
