As of August 2015, ABC plans to offer a fourth season of "Nashville" during the 2015-16 television season. The premiere date for the show's fourth season is Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015.

"Nashville" portrays the lives of famed country singers Juliette Barnes and Rayna Jaymes. Season three ended with a cliffhanger, as viewers were left wondering whether one of the show's characters had died in surgery, and another was about to face corruption charges.

The show's primary stars are actresses Hayden Panettiere and Connie Britton. Other cast members include Clare Bowen, Eric Close, Charles Esten, Sam Palladio and Jonathan Jackson. "Nashville" airs at 10:00 pm Eastern time.
