Does temperature affect the rate of evaporation?

Temperature does affect the rate of evaporation. The higher the temperature, the faster evaporation takes place. Increasing temperatures cause molecules to move faster and move out into the atmosphere, or evaporate.
Cooler temperatures slow down the rate of evaporation, as molecules move more slowly under cooler conditions. Other factors affecting the rate of evaporation include air pressure and humidity. When air pressure is high, evaporation slows because water molecules do not move into the air as easily. When humidity is high, the air is already saturated with water, and evaporation slows down because the air is unable to hold much more liquid.
