What is the temperature of GHD straighteners?

GHD Gold straighteners operate at temperatures of between 347 and 365 degrees Fahrenheit. This temperature is hot enough to easily straighten hair with just a few passes, but not hot enough to cause hair damage.

The GHD Gold straightener reaches its optimal temperature in around 40 seconds and users cannot change the temperature. When it gets hot enough, the straightener will beep three times, letting the user know it is ready.

When straightening the hair, the fewer passes it takes to achieve the ideal style, the better it is for the hair. More passes equals more drying. When a straightener reaches 419 degrees Fahrenheit, it causes the hair to melt, and the damage from that cannot be fixed.
