What are tips for removing double-sided tape from a truck?

Using heat, fishing line and an adhesive remover for final cleanup, double-sided tape can be removed from a truck or other vehicle. A putty knife may also be used instead of the line or floss.

Use a blow drier directed at the tape for three minutes to heat the glue until it is warm to the touch. Attempt to peel the tape and glue off by hand. If that doesn't work, wear gloves and wind a length of fishing line or floss around both hands. Use the line to cut between the truck and the tape to free it. Alternatively, carefully use a putty knife to free the tape.
