What are some tips for troubleshooting heated seats?

Have a voltmeter and a Phillips screwdriver handy. Check to make sure the fuses for the heated seats are good. If the fuses are good, the next item to troubleshoot is the relay switch.

This can easily be done by turning on the heated seats to see if the indicator light comes on. If not, remove the dashboard to access the relay switch. Clean off the connectors of the switch, and then use the voltmeter to see if power is going to the seats.The electrical connection of the seats should also be tested. If the seats do not work after the electrical connections have been analyzed and repaired, the heating coils of the seats should be replaced.
