Beneficiaries and their authorized representatives can use the Medicare toll-free contact number to get information regarding billing, expenses, medical records or payment claims. To authorize a representative to act on a beneficiary's behalf, the beneficiary must file a "Medicare Authorization to Disclose Personal Health Information."
