As of 2015, TomTom offers a service to download an updated version of your pre-installed map four or more times per year, for either your lifetime or for the life of the product.

TomTom is a company from the Netherlands that produces navigation and mapping devices. It also produces GPS sports watches and fleet management systems, and offers location-based devices.

TomTom covers more than 90 countries worldwide for its maps and related services. Customers can buy a TomTom device or product once, and the pre-installed maps are updated quarterly with the newest information on road changes, speed limits and various points of interest to drivers.
