What tools are needed to replace a GE refrigerator evaporator fan?

To replace a GE refrigerator evaporator fan, you need masking tape, a Phillips screwdriver, socket wrench, and a replacement fan motor and spindle. A broken evaporator fan needs to be fixed in order to prevent ice accumulation and food spoilage.

Using the screwdriver, remove plastic ducts and mold work from the freezer, and unscrew the back panel of the freezer to reveal the fan motor. Use the socket wrench to remove the bolts from the fan motor and unplug it to remove the motor. Replace the old motor with the new fan motor and spindle by reversing the steps took to remove the fan.
