The top fashion design schools in the United States, as of 2014, are Parsons, the New School For Design and Fashion Institute of Technology. Other U.S. schools that rank highly when compared to both national and international institutions are the Savannah College of Art and Design and Pratt Institute.

School rankings were determined by a survey conducted by Fashionista. When choosing the top schools, Fashionista took into account a number of metrics, including annual tuition, satisfaction of former students, career success of former students and the quality of the faculty and staff. Of the 50 top schools for fashion design around the world, 20 are located in the United States.
