The 2011 Ford Ranger compact pickup produces 154 foot-pounds of torque at 3,750 rpm from its standard inline-four engine. A larger V-6 engine producing 186 foot-pounds of torque was an option on models produced through the 2009 model year
The Ford Ranger was a compact pickup discontinued by Ford after the 2011 model year. The inline-four engine option used in the 2011 model was available in models produced from 2001 to 2011 and was powerful enough to allow properly equipped Rangers to tow over 3,000 pounds. In addition to standard models, Ford also produced an electric Ranger powered by batteries from 1998 to 2002.
