You can find the towing capacity of a vehicle by using the free towing capacity databases provided by the Online Towing Guide and Camping Life. The information from these sites comes directly from manufacturers at the time of the vehicle's release.

By selecting a year, you can see every vehicle the Online Towing Guide has in its database at once. Use the drop-down menu to navigate to a manufacturer. The website also provides additional information on axle ratio, transmission, suspension and whether or not the towing capacity applies to a certain type of trailer or all trailers.

In comparison, the database by Camping Life requires queries and displays one model at a time. You must select a year, make and model to submit a query. The weight values can remain empty.
