Options for getting to the Detroit Metropolitan Airport include public transit, shuttle service or a taxi. As of June 2015, shuttle service is available from Detroit Shuttle Service and Metro Cars.

Detroit Shuttle Service and Metro Cars both offer group transportation options as well as private sedan service.

Public bus service is available to the airport from points throughout Southeast Michigan. SMART bus routes 125 and 280 serve the North Terminal, and 125 also serves the McNamara Terminal. Ann Arbor airRide also runs a bus to the airport from stations in the Ann Arbor area. There are also bus connections available to these stations throughout Washtenaw County.
