What is a trapezoidal prism?
By Forinfos - 04/08/2025 - 0 comments
A trapezoidal prism is a three-dimensional figure that consists of two trapezoids on opposite faces connected by four rectangles. A trapezoidal prism has six faces, eight vertices and 12 edges.
The volume of a trapezoidal prism is computed by multiplying the surface area of one of the trapezoid faces by the distance between the two trapezoids. This method, multiplying the surface area of a base by the height, is the same for computing the volume of any prism. The surface area of a trapezoidal prism is computed by multiplying the surface area of one of the prisms by two and then adding the product of the perimeter of the trapezoid times the height of the figure.
