How do you treat burns from Nair?

To treat Nair burns, rinse the Nair from the affected area with cold water. Treat redness with an ointment that contains 1 percent hydrocortisone cream. Anti-inflammatory drugs, such as Ibuprofen and acetaminophen, may relieve skin discomfort.
Depilatory creams, such as Nair, use chemicals to dissolve hair. If left on the body too long, these creams may burn the underlying skin. Some people may develop a reaction if they use these creams on the sensitive parts of body. Unless stated on the label, don’t use depilatory creams on the face or genital area. Skin irritation typically clears within a day or two. If the skin swells, blisters or remains red, contact a health care professional immediately.
