The treatment for the itching that can come from seed tick bites involves using a nonprescription medication such as Calamine Lotion, according to WebMD. An ice pack can also be applied to the bite.
Antihistamine medications such as Benadryl can also be given. Before applying any medication topically, remove the tick as soon as possible. When removing it, be sure to pull it gently without crushing it, as stated by Mayo Clinic. The head and mouth should be removed completely. The person should then wash the area thoroughly with soap and water. If flu-like symptoms or a rash develop, the person should contact their doctor.
