How do turtles get their food?

Turtles get their food by swimming around the ocean and then cutting into their food with their razor-sharp beaks. Sea turtles eat jellyfish, small fish, algae and crabs.
Sea turtles have the most difficult time finding food during the summer months when the ocean water begins to heat up. This is also the time period when turtles look to find mates and then reproduce. They lay their eggs on the beach and then leave them to hatch on their own. When the young turtles hatch, they must quickly head to the ocean to avoid predators and learn how to catch and eat food on their own.
