What are the two types of active transport?

The two types of active transport are transport proteins and membrane vesicles. Transport proteins is similar to facilitated diffusion and membrane vesicles is usually called endocytosis.
Transport proteins requires energy to take place and happens when a molecule goes from low to high concentrations across a cell membrane. It works in the same way as facilitated diffusion except facilitated diffusion works in reverse.
There are two types of membrane vesicles. Pinocytosis transports liquid to the cells and phagocytosis transports solids to cell. The opposite of endocytosis is called exocytosis and it is the movement of liquids and solids out of a cell rather than into one.
