The types of fabric typically used on a foldable wall partition, or accordion door, include acrylic, polyvinyl chloride, vinyl and vinyl laminated MDF. These doors come in a variety of colors and finishes.
Vinyl and acrylic doors can be made with finishes that make them resemble woods such as rustic oak, walnut, cherry or maple. Other finishes make the folds resemble linen. Some come with acrylic glass windows fitted into the panels that allow light or a view into and out of the rooms. Others are louvered. Most can be bought in pairs and placed in an extra wide opening to serve as double doors.
