Researchers use tiger milk mushrooms in developing cancer drugs, states Science Daily. Tiger Milk mushrooms provide a polysaccharide-protein complex, which help create selenium nanoparticles. These nanoparticles have potential to destroy breast cancer cells.

In one research study, participants ate 4 ounces of cooked shiitake mushrooms daily for four weeks. The researchers examined participants’ blood samples after the four-week period and found that gamma delta T-cells were better functioning and the levels of inflammatory proteins had reduced.
