What types of phones are used by Consumer Cellular customers as free phones?

As of April 2015, Consumer Cellular does not offer free phones to customers; however, customers can bring their own phones and get a Consumer Cellular SIM card for free. Cell phones range in price from $35 for a flip phone to $150 for a smart phone.

To use the free Consumer Cellular SIM card, customers need a Consumer Cellular, AT&T or T-Mobile phone. They can also use an unlocked GSM phone. Customers do not have to pay an activation fee. The SIM card is an all-in-one design and will work with phones that require a nano, micro or standard SIM card. Consumer Cellular has a 30-day money back guarantee if customers are unsatisfied with the service.
