What is the typical arrangement of Indian wedding jewelry?

Solah Shringar is the assortment of jewelry and make-up traditionally worn by Indian Hindu brides on their wedding day. It includes jewelry worn from head to toe, such as a mangtikka, karn phool, baajuband and paayal.

The mangtikka is a large jewel dangled over the bride's forehead that comes in many forms, as a single piece or with multiple chains. Karn phools are huge earrings that are often attached to the bride's hair due to their heaviness. Baajubands and paayals are jeweled arm bands and anklets, respectively.

Other Indian wedding jewelry includes haar, necklaces that range widely in style; choodiyan, bangles that match the colors of the bridal attire; aarsi, chunky rings; and a kamarband, an ornate gold belt.
