What is United DTC Insurance?

United/DTC, or Direct-to-Customer, is a feature of Mutual of Omaha Life Insurance. Online consumer watchdog sites recommend contacting Mutual of Omaha to inquire about a charge that has been made in error or if a service was not requested.
Many life insurance companies solicit additional services that are attached to the same account as the main insurance policy. In Mutual of Omaha's case, payments made to their additional services can appear as being made out to United/DTC in a credit card or bank statement. A good tactic to follow for investigating seemingly fraudulent charges on a bank statement is to call the bank or credit card company and ask for contact information.
