What are Upper Deck cards?

Upper Deck is a brand of sports cards. The company primarily produces baseball, football, hockey and basketball cards. In the past, Upper Deck has also produced Yu-Gi-Oh, World of Warcraft and Maxx Racing trading cards, but no longer does so.

Upper Deck began producing Major League Baseball cards in 1988. They branched out to NFL, NBA and NHL cards in 1990. In 1996, Upper Deck acquired the Maxx brand of racing cards, but discontinued it in 2000. From 2002 to 2009, the company produced the Yu-Gi-Oh trading card game, but stopped due to a legal dispute with Konami. Upper Deck also produced the World of Warcraft trading card game from 2005 to 2010.
