How do you use headphones for the Xbox 360?

To use headphones for the Xbox 360, turn the headset volume all the way down, and plug the headset into the port on your controller. Put the headset on, and use the volume control knob to adjust the sound.

  1. Turn the headset volume down

    Rotate the volume control to the left to turn the volume all the way down on the headset.

  2. Plug the headphones in

    Plug the headphones into the expansion port located on the bottom of your controller.

  3. Adjust the volume of the headphones

    Put on your headset, and slowly move the volume control knob to the right to adjust the volume.
