How do you use a sliding T bevel?

Sliding T bevels are used to fabricate or replicate pieces that are not square. To use the sliding T bevel, hold the handle flush against the edge of the material. Stretch the tongue across the material at any angle. Lock the bevel to mark and cut the material.

Sliding T bevels consist of a tongue and a handle called a stock. The tongue fits into a groove at the head of the stock. It is generally made of thin steel. The stock is made of wood, plastic or metal. A slit cut in the top of the tongue allows the sliding T bevel to be positioned at any angle.
