By Forinfos - 27/11/2025 - 0 comments
Vehicle undercoating is a protective layer used on the underside of a vehicle in order to prevent damage from rust. Owners apply undercoating to their vehicles because this area does not have a protective coat of paint and comes directly in contact with elements from the road beneath it.
An additional benefit of undercoating is that it helps to dampen sounds from the road, which makes for a quieter driving experience. There are some drawbacks to undercoating a vehicle, including the expensive price tag. Undercoating also effects the total weight of vehicle, which can have a negative impact on fuel consumption.
