Where is the Airbus A380 made?

Airbus assembles the A380 in its headquarter city of Toulouse, France, but there are major manufacturing plants in England, Germany, France and Spain. Airbus formed when a large German aircraft manufacturer merged with a large French aircraft manufacturer in an effort to compete with the US company Boeing.

Airbus also has subsidiaries in countries around the world, including the United States, China and Japan. The final assembly of the A380 takes place in France, but other Airbus aircraft are finished in Germany, China and Mobile, Alabama, in the United States. In all, Airbus directly employs about 55,000 people as of 2015.
