What are flatbed haulers?
By Forinfos - 08/04/2026 - 0 comments
A flatbed hauler typically refers to a heavy-duty truck that has had the pickup bed modified or removed and replaced by any number of flatbed configurations. The bed can be designed to pull large trailers that hook to the truck higher up, rather than with a conventional trailer hitch.
Most flatbed haulers are one-ton or larger trucks with large engines. A flatbed hauler can also be a modified semi-truck, such as those offered by Freightliner or International. Flatbed hauler trucks are designed to move heavy equipment trailers, automotive transport trailers, large stock trailers, race cars, equipment and other pieces of machinery or supplies too large for a standard tow-behind trailer.
