As of 2015, the GMC Terrain is manufactured in Ingersoll, a town in the Ontario province of Canada. The Terrain is the first GMC model produced at this CAMI assembly plant.
In 2013, GMC invested $250 million to support ongoing vehicle production at the plant. Using these funds, the company introduced flexible body shop equipment and tooling. With the addition of this equipment, the company is now able to produce a wider range of products at reduced costs.
GMC uses several facilities to manufacture its entire line-up of vehicles. Some of its other facilities are located at Roanoke, Indiana; Arlington, Texas; and Delta Township, Michigan.
