A Venn diagram works to show logical relationships and set relationships. People can use them to determine the different features that two objects share.
Venn diagrams are a part of the set theory branch of math. In 1891, John Venn created this diagram to determine what two different sets have in common. While most people first learn about this type of diagram in a math class, they can use it for many different classes and disciplines. Someone can look at two to three different sets to see what they all have in common and to explore the differences among them.
