What is ventricular hypokinesia?
By Forinfos - 21/05/2026 - 0 comments
Ventricular hypokinesia means that the muscle of the heart does not contract normally. In most cases, it is only a mild difference, and the heart is still working well.
"Ventricular" refers to the larger parts of the heart muscle, and "hypokinesia" means "less movement." An echocardiogram is an ultrasound of the heart that shows how well the heart muscle is working. The key value of the echocardiogram is the ejection fraction, which determines what percentage of the blood in the largest part of the heart is pushed out to the body. Treatment plans vary for those with low ejection fractions.
