What is Verizon Mifi?

A Verizon MiFi, as of January 2015, creates a mobile hotspot and enables consumers to use the Verizon 4G LTE data network for laptops, tablets and other portable devices that may not have cellular data access. The MiFi device is wireless and rechargeable.

The MiFi device, called the Jetpack, allows up to 10 devices to connect and share Internet access at a time. It is available as a prepaid option without an annual contract. To use the device, customers need to charge it via an included wall charger or a computer USB port, and enter the device's password. A MiFi gives consumers the same protections as a home network.
