Vikrell is a compression-molded, solid composite material made up of resins, filler and fiberglass. This material is exclusive to the Kohler company. Many bath and kitchen surfaces feature Vikrell material.
Vikrell material is lightweight and easy to install. It is also nonporous, making it easy to clean. Its manufacturers recommend avoiding harsh chemicals and instead using mild detergents and cleaners on Vikrell. Although Vikrell is lightweight, it is quite durable. The color comes molded throughout so that scratches do not show. Bathtub bases made with Vikrell have structural ribs underneath to avoid any give under pressure. Vikrell kitchen pieces are heat and stain resistant.
