Wales is a country in its own right. It is part of Great Britain that is situated in Europe. The other countries in Great Britain are England and Scotland.

The capital of Wales is Cardiff. The population of the country speak English and Welsh. Saint David is the patron saint of Wales. Wales has its own national anthem. The name of the national anthem is "Hen Wlad fy Nhadau," which means land of my fathers. Traditional food in Wales consists of a stew known as Welsh cawl and Bara Brith. Bara Brith is a fruit loaf that has tea as one of its main ingredients.
