The warmest parts of the human body are the head, chest and armpits, according to the Journal Gazette of Fort Wayne, Ind. Conversely, the coldest parts are the feet and toes, which are farthest from the warm-blood-pumping heart.
Health Guidance reports that while the human body maintains a consistent internal temperature, the skin is capable of increasing in temperature as a result of vigorous exercise or warm temperatures. In each case, if the affected person moves to a cool place and rests, the blood vessels contract, forcing blood inward and lowering the skin temperature. Fever is another condition that increases skin temperature.
