Where is the water inlet valve on a dishwasher located?

The dishwasher's water inlet valve is usually located in the right or left corner behind the lower kickplate panel. Screws positioned on the bottom or top of the panel secure the kickplate.

To replace the valve, unplug the unit and disconnect the water. Next, remove the lower kickplate panel and disconnect any wires running to the valve. The water inlet valve is easy to recognize from the hoses connected to the valve. One hose feeds water to the valve while the other hose carries water from the dishwasher. At least two screws hold the valve into position. Once one removes the screws, removing the valve is simple.
