What is the best way to peel a boiled egg?

Boiled eggs can be peeled easily using a little water and your thumb. First, you need to find the egg's air pocket and the membrane.

1. Wet the egg

   Submerge the egg in a bowl of cold water, as this makes it easier to peel.

2. Find the air pocket

   Crack the end of the egg's shell with the back of a spoon. The air pocket is usually located on the wider end of the egg. Begin to peel away the top of the egg shell.

3. Peel away the shell and membrane

   Use your thumb to gently peel the shell away with the membrane attached.
