Is there any way to stop your period for one day?

There is no way for women to stop menstrual bleeding associated with the monthly period for one day. The use of hormonal birth control, however, may be effective at changing the onset of the period, or skipping it altogether, according to the Mayo Clinic.
A natural phenomenon, the menstrual cycle follows a regular pattern -typically once every 21 to 35 days- which varies from woman to woman.
While the bleeding may not be halted once it starts, skipping the inactive hormonal pills at the end of the pill packet and immediately starting active pills from a new packet may prevent it from starting.
