What are some ways to dispose of large TVs?

As of 2015, Best Buy recycles some large TVs, including LCD, plasma or LED TVs that are less than 50 inches. Large tube and projection TVs must be under 32 inches. Best Buy hauls away larger TVs when consumers purchase qualifying replacements for delivery.
Consumers may take large TVs to Staples for recycling. Store associates examine the TVs and usually make offers to buy qualifying TVs. Consumers may receive Staples eCash cards to spend in the store or online. Alternatively, consumers may enter TV information online, get a quote and ship the TV to Staples for free. Staples sends eCash cards via email.
