When ordering books by category, choose categories based on personal preferences rather than worrying about how the book should actually be classified. This makes it easier to find books quickly and easily. Separating books by color creates an aesthetically pleasing arrangement but has the downside of a reader not immediately knowing where a book is located. A chronological ordering system works well for books based on history or art, as it keeps each time period separate.
