How do you wear a hat?

Wear a hat by determining your hat size, selecting a hat that fits correctly, and wearing the hat snugly on your head. As there are many hat types, any hat should be worn according to its intended purpose.

  1. Determine your hat size

    Measure completely around your head, about 1/8 inch above your ears and across the mid-forehead. Find what hat size best matches your head measurement on a hat size chart. If your head measurement is between hat sizes, select the larger size.

  2. Select a hat

    Though hat sizes are universal, each hat can fit differently. Try on hats in your size to select the best fit.

  3. Wear the hat

    The hat should fit snugly on your head but not too tightly. Choose a hat style that you enjoy and find flattering.
