What is "WebCite"?
By Forinfos - 10/08/2025 - 0 comments
WebCite is a Web archiving service that preserves important educational and scientific material by taking a snapshot of a website at the time a user cites or quotes from it. This ensures that the cited or quoted material is available to future readers.
WebCite is free for all writers who cite Web material; no membership is required. Unlike Google Cache, WebCite offers immediate long-term archiving. The advantage of WebCite over other similar services is the ability to capture several layers of underlying links and preserve the cached pages from the archive by checking the robot.txt file at the time of archiving.
