What are wedding table numbers?

Wedding table numbers are assigned to all of the wedding guests so that they know at which table they are supposed to sit. Some brides and grooms choose to use wedding table numbers when space is limited or to ensure that guests are able to sit with their partners or family.

Once the bride and groom receive all of their RSVPs, they assign each table in their floor plan a number and create a seating chart. At the wedding, each table is labeled with the assigned number and a seating assignment chart is prominently displayed.

Table numbers can be as intricate or as plain as they bride and groom prefer. An elegant white card on a silver stand or a small mini chalkboard are two ideas that add to the wedding decor.
