What is the weight of a liter of diesel?
By Forinfos - 07/04/2025 - 0 comments
One liter of diesel fuel weighs 1.88 pounds. It is a middle weight petroleum product and is heavier and thicker in appearance than gasoline, often called diesel oil.
Diesel fuel is often less expensive than gasoline because it is easier to refine. One gallon of diesel fuel allows a vehicle to travel farther than does one gallon of gasoline. This makes it even more energy efficient. One gallon produces roughly 139,000 British Thermal Units of energy. It is the fuel of choice in many countries. Diesel is more stable than gasoline, does not explode as easily and does not evaporate as quiickly.
