Joan Rivers was born on June 8, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York. She became popular for her controversial comedic persona. She found fame by appearing on “The Tonight Show” as a guest in the 1965. She started her own program, “The Late Show with Joan Rivers,” in 1986, and she died on Aug. 28, 2014, when serious complications were experienced during a minor throat procedure.
