Some of the best and most memorable outfits on the red carpet for the 2015 Oscars include Lupita Nyong'o's gown made from 6,000 pearls, Julianne Moore's gown featuring 80,000 hand-painted sequins and flowers and Dakota Johnson's crystal rope shoulder gown. Anna Kendrick, Zoe Saldana and Emma Stone selected the worst although memorable gowns, according to The LA Times.

The worst dressed celebrity gowns were deemed not bad, just boring. The Academy Awards are often memorable for the red carpet fashion, celebrities and designers. Richard Blackwell, known commonly as the creator of Mr. Blackwell's Worst Dressed List, was one of the forefront critics of celebrity fashion.
